I would like to require the convocation on January 19th for class. We will discuss this and our work with NV Access on Wednesday. I expect Dr. Hrabowski’s message will resonate with us throughout the term.
President of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Dr. Hrabowski will share perspectives on the Civil Rights movement, including being jailed for participating in the Birmingham Children’s March, and his insights from a career in education. Although challenges persist, he believes each of us can inspire positive change. Co-sponsored with the Black Cultural Center, Carter G. Woodson Center, African and African-American Studies, CCC, and the Office of the President. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Convocation.
